In this resort-style hotel, which has won architectural awards, the accommodations are in simple, carpet-free cottages, each with a private patio. Rooms here are a bit Spartan, but the hotel is wonderfully tranquil. The hotel uses a biotechnological system of plant roots to purify its air and waste water. The grounds, planted with trees and flowers, house rare birds. It's intensely quiet here, as the hotel is 5 km (3 mi) from the city center on the road to the Ellora caves. The hotel is ideal for kids—there are rabbits and parrots, and there's ample space to run around. The restaurant serves tasty Indian and Continental food. A courtesy bus goes to the city four times a day. Service is above average.
