Did someone say yak? Jiuzhaigou, or "nine village gully," refers to the nine Amdo Tibetan tribes who inhabit the area and your perfect excuse to try Tibetan cuisine. Near the main gate of Jiuzhaigou Reserve you'll find restaurants selling dried yak, cured yak, pickled yak, smoked yak, fried yak, and—well, you get the point.
