Ngorongoro Safari Resort

Ngorongoro Safari Resort Review

If you're looking for something cheap and cheerful and don't mind being on the main road next to a garage and a very popular campsite, then this well-run property will hit the spot. Set in pleasant gardens in the middle of the lively little town of Karatu, the resort's rooms are retro 1970s with satin flounced bed frills, print curtains, wooden dressing tables, and big windows, but they are also clean and comfortable with en-suite hot showers and complementary bottled drinking water. The resort is ideally situated along the main road to the Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, Lake Eyasi, and Serengeti. There are a couple of very interesting daily excursions, including a visit the Iraqw people of the Ngorongoro highlands and a guided walk with superb views which meanders through forest highlands to a nearby waterfall.
