Melville's 7th Street is the place to go for a night of bar-hopping. It varies from stylish spots, such as the Mozambique-style Xai Xai Lounge (Shop 7, Melville Gardens, 7th St., Melville. 011/482-6990) to glitzy, vibey bars, such as Unplugged on 7th (Shop 4, 7th St., Melville. 011/482-5133), psychedelic trance hangout Trance-Sky Beat Bar (7 7th St., Melville. 083/604-0832), Buzz 9 (At 3rd Ave. and 7th St., Melville. 011/726-2019), and the kitsch-but-cool Tokyo Star (At 4th Ave. and 7th St., Melville. 072/478-2529 or 084/208-0236), which is frequented by an young, energetic crowd.
