In the center of the old medina and boasting a 360-degree over the city, the Atlantic, the Strait of Gibraltar, the Bay of Tangier, and Spain, this "House of Light" is partly built right on the Kasbah's western ramparts. At times, you may believe you're climbing an M.C. Escher stairway in and out of three historic houses, which have been tastefully decorated with antiques, local art, and craft. The owners regularly surprise their guests with traditional dance performances, and a friendly American staff member is more than happy to advise guests and give recommendations. The satellite restaurant and café, Le Salon Bleu, on the main Kasbah square with its paradisiacal roof and cute design touches inspired by the city, is not to be missed.
