Fodor's Expert Review Petra Guest House Hotel

This renovated hotel with clean, serviceable rooms is the closest lodging to the Petra entrance. It's also home to the so-called world's oldest bar, The Cave Bar, which offers live music, a selection of snacks, alcoholic drinks, coffee, tea, and argeeleh—for those who want to try smoking the traditional Middle Eastern way. Rooms are comfortable (and some have mountain views so do inquire when booking) but the interior decor lacks the local charm of other properties.
