Manta Ray Review

This large restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, a great beach view, and indoor and outdoor dining, but tends to get noisy. It appeals to a cross section of diners from families to couples looking for romance, and attracts a loyal clientele from as far away as Jerusalem. The filling, imaginative appetizers are perhaps Manta Ray's finest features. These vary from day to day; some standards include shrimp with spinach, mango, and cracked wheat, and goat cheese with beets. The baked sea bream with rosemary and olive oil is simple Mediterranean fare at its best, especially with a spicy chili and pepper sauce on the side.

    Beautiful View

Manta Ray is a very large, noisy, informal place. We were lucky enough to have a table outside on the terrace with a great view of the beach and the Mediterranean.
The food was well-prepared...including the desserts! The service was very friendly but very disorganized. I don't know if that is the usual situation or it was just a crazy day there.

    Seafood by the Sea

The best way to eat seafood is with the sound of surf in your ears. Eat outside on the patio, if you can, because the inside can be quite noisy. There is a cafeteria like atmosphere inside. Get there at sunset and enjoy the sun setting over the Med.
