Fodor's Review

As the name suggests, Eddie's is slightly hard to find—you'll find it tucked away a residential neighborhood away from the major hotels. The decor is more French countryside than Middle Eastern beach resort, and the affable Eddie ("I consider each guest a visitor in my own home," he says) prepares straightforward but delicious food. It's easy to understand why his restaurant—one of the oldest in Eilat—is worth seeking out and why it continues to earn stellar reviews for its steaks and seafood. Devotees also appreciate the shrimp and fish dishes. Savor the filet Dijon (filet mignon graced with mustard and brown sugar) or the Shanghai fish served with a hot soybean paste.
