Spectacularly lit fountains and gardens, an abundant use of marble, and stunning artwork make this an extraordinary resort. Even though the off-season is quieter, things hop here year-round. Every room (with the exception of four ample suites) has a terrace with views of the beaches. The most prominent draw is the Las Vegas–style casino—the country's best with nearly 500 slot machines. The entertainment here reads like a Who's Who of farándula—that's showbiz, Latin American style—but Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan are among the U.S. stars who have performed here, too.
