Membership is free, and it takes just a moment to join. As a member, you will be able to write reviews, share your travel questions and experiences in our popular forums, and enter periodic contests. We value the contributions of our members, and we quote tips and suggestions from them in our guides, in Word of Mouth features.
How do I join Fodor's?
Joining Fodor's is quick and easy. Simply go to www.fodors.com/login/register.html. After joining, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us that contains a link. After clicking on that link to activate your account, you'll be all set to start participating.
What are the guidelines for participation?
Every day, travelers join Fodors.com to share and receive travel advice. Please be sure that you familiarize yourself with the following guidelines before posting on Fodors.com.
- Come one, come all.
Travelers with many different travel styles and budgets post on Fodors.com. Everyone is welcome to join any conversation; feel free to share your experiences.
- This is a no-advertising zone.
Commercial postings (including links by advertisers to business e-mails and commercial sites) aren't allowed here, and they will be removed.
- Keep it positive.
Personal attacks, hate speech, and offensive language are not permitted. Everyone has an opinion; please don't denigrate the suggestions of others or resort to name calling.
- Do not post copyrighted material.
Loved an article that you read elsewhere? Please don't copy and paste its content in the forums. However, you're welcome to link to it. Please do not post links to other sites without including a description of the referenced site. A small explanation makes it easier for fellow members to decide whether or not the content is of interest to them.
- Speak up.
Due to the popularity of the forums, our small staff is unable to review every topic, reply, and profile. If you see something that doesn't belong on the site, please click the triangle icon to alert the moderators.
- Respect the privacy of others.
Please do not post the personal information of other members (full names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, addresses).
- Talk travel.
To provide maximum benefit for travelers, we ask that you stick to the topic of travel when posting in all of our forums, with one exception. Topics of a wide variety, from travel to current events to favorite TV shows, are welcome in the Fodorite Lounge.
