When to Go

The weather in Lima is a mirror inverse of North America's. Summer, from December to April, is largely sunny, with daytime temperatures well above 80°F and pleasant, if humid, nights and mornings. From May to November, by contrast, the city turns cloudy and gray, with morning fog and nighttime temperatures that occasionally dip down around 50°F. The coastal region gets little precipitation, so you'll rarely find your plans ruined by rain, but there are winter days when you’ll have to endure a miserable foggy drizzle locals call la garúa.
