Hotel del Lago
On the shores of Lago Ypacaraí, this low-key century-old Spanish-style hotel underwent a complete refurbishing in 2007, going from country-rustic to country-chic, with amenities such as a "cyber center," swimming pools and botanical gardens. For an added fee, guests have use of bikes, boats and horses. The restaurant's forte is roast beef or pork, cooked in a wood-fire oven and served with sopa paraguaya.
