Tropical trees shade this large park on the Río Cali's north bank. The modern buildings to the west house municipal offices and are collectively known as the CAM, a term also used by locals to identify the park.

Within the rapidly expanding city (it has grown fourfold in the past 40 years) you'll find a small colonial quarter, some interesting museums, and many leafy parks. The city's tree-lined avenues and lazy open-air cafés invite you to linger. In the center is the Paseo de Bolívar, a large park on the north bank of the muddy Río Cali. To the south are the main sights, including most of the interesting old churches.
