Fodor's Expert Review Rediviva
Rediviva means renewed or revived, and much of the material—wood, metal, and glass—in the interior has been repurposed for an effect that is intimate, elegant, rustic yet refined, modern, and somewhat nautical. Edison-style lighting and blown-glass floats mix with steel cable in what is perhaps the most cosmopolitan eatery around the region, where the focus is on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients from the Olympic Peninsula and the Washington Coast. Look for rum-spiced smoked duck, charbroiled black and blue oysters, and baked mussels and littleneck clams. The menu mentions the locale of each thoughtfully prepared entrée. Regional wines and handcrafted cocktails are available.
