Montpelier's only major hotel reopened in spring 2024 after $4.5 million in repairs from July 2023's flooding; it benefits much from the State House across the street, hosting many of its visiting politicians, lobbyists, and business makers, not to mention tourists seeking a certain quality of accommodation. Guest rooms are classically designed and outfitted with standard but polished amenities, while suites may add crystal chandeliers, a covered porch, oversize spa showers, or Jacuzzi tubs.
