Zion Lodge
For a dramatic setting inside the park, you'd be hard-pressed to improve on a stay at the historic Zion Lodge: the canyon's jaw-dropping beauty surrounds you, access to trailheads is easy, and guests can drive their cars on the lower half of Zion Park Scenic Drive year-round. Rooms in the main lodge buildings, which modeled faithfully on the 1920s original, are rustic in style but with modern amenities, and each has a porch or balcony furnished with rocking chairs so you can enjoy the view; the neighboring historic Western-style cabins, which have been sensitively updated over the years, do not have TVs but are equipped with gas-log fireplaces and have porches.
