Alder House Glassblowing

Fodor's Choice

The imaginative crafts folk at this studio turn molten glass into vases and bowls, which are available for sale. You can watch artisans at work here in the oldest glassblowing studio in the state, and next door, Mossy Creek Pottery gallery is worth a visit, too. Alder House is closed November–April.

Philabaum Glass Gallery and Studio

Downtown Fodor's Choice

Magnificent handblown glass pieces of all sizes, including vases, artwork, table settings, and jewelry, are sold at this gallery and studio at the southern edge of Downtown.

Crystal Arts

Magic Kingdom

This shop dazzles with Arribas Brothers–engraved crystal pieces like a sparkling Cinderella coach or an iconic glass slipper in one of many sizes (though none will fit your foot!).

Flickinger Glassworks

Red Hook

In this warehouse-turned-glasswork studio, artisans bend glass for custom lighting fixtures and other pieces of glassware. While most items are made to order for delivery in a couple of weeks, there are some items—cuff links, jewelry, and some tableware—that are available for off-the-shelf retail.

Glass House Studio

Pioneer Square

Seattle's oldest glassblowing studio and gallery lets you watch fearless artisans at work in the "hot shop." Some of the best glass artists in the country work out of this shop, and many of their impressive studio pieces are for sale, along with around 40 other Northwest artists represented by the shop.

Hot Island Glass

With furnaces glowing bright orange and loads of mesmerizing sculptures on display, this glassworks is an exciting place to visit. The studio, set back from Makawao's main street in a little courtyard, is owned by a family of glassblowers. Although the gallery is open daily 9 to 5 pm, you should call ahead for times when the artists will be working.

Kuivato Glass Gallery

Uptown

In line with its name, this gallery has gorgeous glass art pieces, including chandeliers, sculptures, bowls, and jewelry.

Lincoln City Glass Center

Blow a glass float or make a glorious glass starfish, heart, or fluted bowl of your own design (prices start at $65 for a glass float). The studio's expert artisans will guide you every step of the way. It's a fun, memorable keepsake of the coast.

Makai Glass Maui

Though this fine art gallery may look rough and rugged on the outside, it’s anything but on the inside. Incredible pieces of blown glass fill rooms and rooms, each more jaw-droppingly beautiful than the next. Many pieces are inspired by nature and illustrate just how dynamic the art form is. You can even watch live glass blowing from a loft above the studio.
