Just north of St. Augustine, off I–95, is this collection of designer and brand-name outlets including those for Vans, Under Armour, and Kate Spade. There's also a Nike Factory Store.

Coach, Nike, DKNY, Wiliams-Sonoma, Saks Off Fifth, and Pottery Barn are among the more than 170 brand-name factory stores at the popular Tanger Outlet Stores. There is a Starbucks to grab a latte while you shop, and there are many fast-food options for a quick bite to eat. You can get great deals during thier sidewalk sales, but it can also get quite busy on the narrow walkways, so be prepared for crowds and anticipate a slow stroll through the center.

There are two separate sections to this popular shopping center: Tanger Outlet I has more than 40 upscale stores, as well as eateries like Olive Garden, Panera Bread, and Longhorn Steakhouse. Tanger Outlet II has Banana Republic, the Gap, and Nike, along with dozens of other stores that offer great discounts for shoppers.

Polo Ralph Lauren, Coach, Calvin Klein, Brooks Brothers, London Fog, J. Crew—you'll recognize most of the names you see at the Waterloo Premium Outlets. Laid out in arcs forming a loose circle, the stores have exterior entrances connected by a covered walkway.

The Williamsburg Pottery Factory is an attraction in itself, and the parking area is usually crammed with tour buses. The original location looked like old barn warehouses, but the new address now looks like a small town center. The enormous stores sell luggage, clothing, furniture, food and wine, china, crystal, and—its original commodity—pottery. Individual stores such as Pfaltzgraff are within the compound. There are always some great deals on name-brand home decor.

Located 18 miles north of Salem just off Interstate 5 are more than 100 brand-name outlet stores, including Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, Coach, Ann Taylor, Levi's, Pendleton, and Columbia Sportswear. There's also a small playground and a couple of places to eat.

A 40-minute drive north of Downtown San Diego, this outdoor shopping center contains more than 90 outlet stores, including designer brands like Coach, Cole Haan, Kate Spade New York, and Michael Kors.

Like its northern sister outlet, this branch has a vast selection of popular brands such as Fossil, Lucky Brand, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Journeys, Nautica, Nike, Skechers, Wilsons Leather, and Zales at up to 65% off. But these shops, 2.5 miles south of the Strip, are indoors and air-conditioned, with plenty of free on-site parking. Stop at the Information Center for a layout and listings brochure, which includes coupons and daily specials. Moreover, AAA card members receive a free discount card for additional savings. Some stores offer student discounts as well. The Disney store, Carter's, and Gymboree stock stuff for kids. About 30 miles east of the city on Viejas Indian Reservation, this outlet mall in the community of Alpine is situated across from the Viejas Casino & Resort. Major brands represented here include Coach, Guess, Levi's, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Wilsons Leather. Free entertainment is offered year-round at the ShowCourt. Kids enjoy the FunZone Arcade, bowling, and ice rink (open late October through January).
