Fodor's Expert Review Castle Hill Inn
No other restaurant in Newport can compete with the spectacular water views from the Sunset Room, one of four dining rooms inside the historic main inn. The three-course prix-fixe menu displays a passion for simple New England food done well, re-creating a clambake with littlenecks and plump chouriço-filled Georges Bank scallops. (There are also four- and six-course options.) A perfect spot for a romantic dinner, Castle Hill also serves lunch, allowing you to savor ethereal cuisine while watching sunlit clouds drift by. Favorites at the well-attended Sunday brunch include lobster hash and an omelet with fresh farm vegetables and artisanal cheeses. Produce comes from local growers listed on the various menus.
