This bustling convention hotel fills an entire city block, and for an intrinsically impersonal type of place, the Marriott tries hard to meet special needs; it also offers some of the lowest rates in its price category. The softly lit lobby has comfortable seating areas with a sushi bar and a Starbucks steps away. The more than 1,300 guest rooms are brightly decorated, and at no additional cost, you can request one of the hotel’s "rooms that work," with adjustable desks and extra lighting and outlets. The on-site restaurants, Circ Bar and THIRTEEN, serve contemporary American food. If you're driving, you may want to park in a public parking lot, as the hotel charges upwards of $56 a night.

The outside is quite spectacular, as the hotel was built within the framework of the old iron works, with gigantic metal beams interconnecting high above. The rooms themselves, though spacious with living room and kitchen areas, lack personality. There is a nice sized pool in an atrium that looks out on the river. Access to Manayunk is just across the one lane bridge—you can walk or bike across it, but only people who live in nearby condos can drive their cars across it. Manayunk's main action is a good 10-minute walk upstream on Main Street.

Originally the Market Street National Bank, this building from the 1920s has a beautifully restored art deco facade; most rooms (studios or one-bedroom suites) have full kitchens, living rooms, and work areas. The hotel is a big hit with families with small children. Across from City Hall, this hotel is close to all major downtown destinations.

A convenient convention hotel, this large, modern Sheraton catering to both business and leisure travelers has airy, common gathering spaces and redecorated guest rooms in tan, pale gray, and light blue. Rooms feature oversize desks, large flat-screen TVs, and a coffeemaker, and the hotel has a business center and an upgraded fitness room with Peloton bikes. Though it's close to many good Center City dining options, there are two restaurants on-site: The Terrace Cafe, serving breakfast (and Starbucks coffee) and lunch; and the Local Cafe, which features breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a bar. Pets are not allowed at the hotel.

Opened in 2021 to great excitement from visitors and locals alike, this sexy space focuses on creating a distinctively Philly feel with modern rooms and popular cocktail spots. The rooms have generous layouts, glassed-in showers, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Local artists and bartenders collaborated in the two bar spaces: WET Deck, where there's bar service at a small, all-season heated pool, or head downstairs to the Living Room, where DJs regularly spin and a cocktail menu of locally inspired drinks fuel a hip crowd of locals.

After a recent rebrand and remodel, the Warwick Hotel welcomes guests into a sleek lobby featuring bulbous pendant lights, fireplaces, pop-art rugs and wall decor, and sofas upholstered with bold fabrics. The pleasant, bright guest rooms are decorated in soft earth tones and outfitted with refrigerators, large work desks, televisions, bottled water, coffee, and comfortable beds. The hotel offers a number of restaurants, including Spice Finch, which is accessible through the lobby.

This modern, 24-story all-suites hotel close to the Parkway museums and Center City's restaurants, shopping, and nightlife caters to corporate business travelers (some on extended stays) as well as vacationing families, and features both studio and good-size one-bedroom spaces. The outdoor rooftop pool, open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, is a lovely place to relax and escape the summer heat. Popular with big groups, it's not unusual to see a tour bus parked outside.
