Fodor's Expert Review Brandywine River Hotel

1609 Baltimore Pike (U.S. 1), Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, 19317, USA

Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.

Near the Brandywine Museum of Art, this family-owned modern, two-story hotel has a variety of room sizes and mostly traditional Queen Anne–style furnishings that create more of a B&B vibe than is found in the many nearby chain hotels. Suites have fireplaces and whirlpool baths. There's no in-house restaurant, but a continental breakfast with fresh fruit is included. It's just steps from the Chadds Ford Barn Shops, a few local businesses in a village-like setting.

  • Near restaurants and a café-bakery
