Perched on the beach north of town, this property was built specifically as a bed-and-breakfast and each room offers privacy, a deck entrance to the beach, and its own Jacuzzi tub—and, of course, views of the ocean. Its white carpets and walls, and steeply pitched ceilings, make this more modern than most B&Bs. Combined with pastel paints, bright bedding, and wicker furniture, the architecture has tropical feel. Communal space includes a loft observatory with a television, deep, comfortable seating, and a small movie collection. Breakfast—three thoughtful courses—is served in a room with two walls of windows overlooking the water and some much-frequented bird feeders. The owners have two small dogs, but they don't intrude on guests' quarters.
