If you’re planning on putting fries before guys (or gals) this Valentine’s Day, maybe you don’t have to: A McDonald’s in Canandaigua, New York, on Routes 5 and 20, will be taking reservations for a sit-down dinner for two for the Hallmark holiday. The prix-fixe menu is $20 (total, not apiece) and includes an appetizer, main course, drink, and dessert for two. Couples can reserve a table between 5 pm and 7 pm, leaving plenty of time in the evening for more grand romantic plans.
Does this mean love is dead? No. In fact, McDonald’s will be donating half the proceeds from this fast food feast to the Ronald McDonald House in an effort to spread the love. One customer told WHAM (an ABC-affiliated station in Rochester, New York), “I don’t think I’d do it, personally, because it’s not romantic.” To each their own.
