Fodor's Expert Review ¡Globalquerque!

Held at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, ¡Globalquerque! is a dazzling two-day multistage (indoors and out) world-music festival that firmly places Albuquerque on the global music map. In addition to three evening performances, a full day is devoted to (free) family-focused programming. Launched in 2005 by AMP Concerts (the organization that lures acts like Lucinda Williams, Vieux Farka Toure, David Byrne, and Richard Thompson to intimate venues all around town) and Avokado Artists (known for the inspired world music line-up they present throughout the year), this festival remains a rousing success well over a decade in.
