Flamenco music and dance speak to something in Albuquerque’s soul, and for folks new to the tradition or yearning for a taste, this venue—with tapas and vinos to match—is the perfect spot to kindle that flame. In an intimate, appropriately sultry setting, excellent small plates created by Mark Miller (of Santa Fe's Coyote Cafe fame) are served with the right cavas to complement them. Make reservations (shows are Friday through Sunday), arrive early, and be dazzled by the world-class artists performing here.

Launched in 2005 by AMP Concerts (the organization that lures acts like Lucinda Williams, Vieux Farka Toure, David Byrne, and Richard Thompson to intimate venues all around town) and Avokado Artists (known for the inspired world music line-up they present throughout the year), this festival remains a rousing success well over a decade in.
