Yes, there really are goats on the roof at this colorful roadside attraction off the main drag near Clayton. While it is kind of a tourist trap, it's a fun one that's down-to-earth and full of charm. The shop features handcrafted items like pottery, goat's milk soaps, Amish furniture, and local jams and jellies, along with toys, T-shirts, and goodies. You can also get fresh-made fudge and "nitro" ice cream in the café across the way. There's even gem mining on-site. Of course, the main attraction is the goats, which you can feed via a pulley system. Kids of all ages love this place!

This unique shop has been operating continuously since 1872. The front part of the store operates more as a museum, with antique farming implements, old-timey tonics and soaps, and even caskets on display. The retail store, influenced by an earlier owner's Scandinavian heritage, continues to sell Swedish farmer's cheese and Norwegian flatbread. Shoppers can also pick up old-time candy and toys. You can even grab lunch at the Old Sautee Market behind the shop.
