Sea Kayaking

One of the best ways to explore the coastline is by kayak, which lets you visit sea caves and otherwise inaccessible beaches. There's also a very good chance you'll see whales, icebergs, and seabirds.

Stan Cook Sea Kayak Adventures. The guides at Stan Cook lead kayaking tours to world-famous sanctuaries, through waterfalls and into caves; in season you can paddle near whales and around icebergs. To provide the most time at the main destinations, participants on the two-hour (C$99) and 3½-hour (C$149) "Go and Tow" tours, which depart from Cape Broyle, kayak out to the ocean, and return by motorized towboat. You can also combine kayaking with a hiking tour along the East Coast Trail (C$339), or just hike (C$69 half day, C$109 full day).
