Turn-of-the-19th-century buildings combine with a state-of-the-art tower at this 21-story luxury hotel. The collection of paintings, sculptures, and other artwork in the hotel's public areas and guest rooms (a C$1.4 million collection) showcases 50 western Canadian artists. A mahogany canoe hangs from the lobby ceiling, and historical photographs and displays convey the pioneer spirit that helped to settle the West. The hotel is linked to the Telus Convention Centre.
