The rooms in this restored colonial mansion two blocks west of the zócalo have unique, homey touches; in some rooms it's carved wooden headboards, in others wrought-iron or hammered-tin ones. All the rooms wrap around an adorable courtyard with a flower-filled fountain; surrounding it are tables topped with lacy umbrellas. Chicken mole and fish fillets steamed in a mezcal sauce top the list of favorites at the Restaurante Asunción ($–$$).
