Low rates on the Costera are unheard of, but if you’re on a budget and aren’t too fussy, this could be a great choice. A helpful staff and a prime location help make this an appealing place to stay. Rooms are very basic, but have colonial-style furnishings and cluster around a garden with a good-size pool. Some have kitchenettes and balconies; all are spotlessly clean. The Park has a tennis center and is only a block from the beach.

Fiesta Americana’s new “One” brand is the chain’s economy line, and their Acapulco outlet is basically a standard Holiday Inn Express near the beach thanks to its simplicity and affordability. You’ll find a pool here, but nothing else about the place resembles a resort. If you’re resourceful enough to look for your activities outside the hotel, this could be a great budge option. Rooms—they’re a bit on the small side—are bright and cheery with a desk, white walls, white spreads and drapes, and a few colored accents.
