Reel Escape. With its ideal location close to the offshore fish-filled Furuno banks and river mouths along the coast, this charter operation has great fishing options aboard a 35-foot CABO sportfishing boat equipped with twin 450 CAT engines. There's a full-size galley, bathroom, and shower on board, and top-of-the-line fishing gear. Bilingual Capt. Willy Atencio has fished internationally, but he has come home to his native Drake Bay. He and his mates will transport you to the boat, take you where the fish are, then clean and fillet your catch. Half-day, inshore trips accommodate up to four fishers, are aboard a 26-foot panga with a 250-horse-powered Yamaha outboard motor, and cost $450. A full-day offshore (lunch included) expedition aboard the CABO runs $1,500 for up to five fishers. Drake Bay, Drake Bay, Puntarenas. 8824–3036; 855/372–5322; www.fishdrakebay.com.
