Most stores lining the main road along Diria Grand Boulevard sell the same souvenirs. It's hard to leave town without at least one sarong or T-shirt in your suitcase. There are a few upscale clothing and jewelry shops as well, and some worthy farmers' markets.
The theme of this Tamarindo boutique is “Don’t worry, be hippy,” with a collection of upscale beachwear and jewelry ranging from tie-dyed sundresses and OM pendants to pura vida earrings and wool belts. They also have beach bags, hats, and bikinis. Here you can find nicer clothes for men and women; head next door to Azul Profundo Kids for the little ones.
On Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm, the farmers' market in Oneida Park next to Green Papaya is bustling. Stop by for some fresh organic fruits and veggies, homemade kombucha, or baked goods.
On Thursday evening from 5:30 to 9:30 pm, join in the buzzing crowd to sample food and cocktails from around the world, buy jewelry, and listen to live music.
