$ | |Popular with Kherson families, Basta Pasta is a casual Italian restaurant in the city's Fabrika shopping center, with a great selection of fresh—and filling—dishes. The space is cozy and has a faux-rustic feel, with unfinished wooden floors and walls and lots of cushioned booths divided by homey wooden bookshelves. As the name suggests, the cuisine here is dominated by pasta and other Italian classics, and the pizzas come particularly recommended. Surprisingly, they also serve a huge variety of sushi and Japanese seafood dishes along with kebabs.

The extensive breakfast menu has a huge assortment of pancakes (served with toppings such as cherries and brandy with sour cream, or red caviar) and if you’re willing to wait until after 8 am to eat, you can get a 20 percent discount on your bill.
