ABOUT
This site was not a city but rather a religious center and political meeting point for the Lycian League: the world's first democratic federation. It's quite rural and can be reached on a day trip from western Lycia's main centers—Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Ka?, or Kalkan. Plan to visit in the late afternoon, perhaps after a stop in nearby Xanthos, which administered the temples in ancient times.
