The Best Sight in Rive Gauche (Left Bank), Geneva

The BFM was originally built in 1886 as the Bâtiment des Forces Motrice. Moored in the middle of the Rhône, the pumping and turbine plant supplied drinking water and energy to the city. In 1997, it was restored and converted to a 945-seat theater and now hosts theater productions, concerts, opera, and other cultural events.
