In the heart of Vila Viçosa, surrounded by lush gardens, is this medieval-era castle. For a while it was the home of the Bragança family before they settled down in the nearby Paço Ducal. Inside you'll find a 16th-century church and a cemetery where the Portuguese poet Florbela Espanca rests.
