Train Travel

The main station in the Tri-City area is Gdańsk Główny. Many daily trains leave here for Warsaw (four hours), Kraków (eight hours), Poznań (four hours), and Malbork (take the train to Warsaw, which stops in Malbork; local trains can take ages). All the towns of the region can be reached by train. Within the Tri-City area, a fast electric-train service (called SKM) runs every 15 minutes from Gdańsk Główny via Oliwa, Sopot, and Gdynia to Wejherowo. The service operates from 4 am to 1 am.

There is a direct train connection between the Tri-City and Szczecin, a "fast" connection—but not an express (so the trip takes more than five hours).
