The handful of shops in Geiranger emphasize traditional Norwegian cottage crafts such as wood carvings and woven and knitted goods, like Norwegian sweaters, and more sophisticated works by local artisans. All the shops and galleries are along the main street, with the exception of a few outlets that make it worth going the extra picturesque mile.
Located in a historic school at the heart of Geiranger, the gallery features three floors hung floor to ceiling with the work of local artists, artisans, and craftspeople. There's everything from ceramics and glass to paintings and tapestries.
