Most nightspots center around Ole Bulls plass, the plaza at one end of Torgallmenningen. Within a stone's throw of the plaza you can find dozens of relaxing bars, lively pubs, dancing, live music, and trendy cafés.

The only gay bar in Bergen, Fincken packs a lot into a compact space: a friendly bar on the ground level, a dance floor and performance space up the spiral staircase, and even a pleasant patio in the back.
Folk & Røvere
The specialty here is craft beers, as you'll know from the broad blackboard over the bar listing the wide range of stouts, porters, ales, and other brews. Belly up to the bar, grab a table on the sidewalk, or head across the street to the covered patio.
LouLou
In the basement of the Hotel Norge by Scandic, this surprisingly sophisticated club is the location of hundreds of selfies every week. The cocktails are some of the most creative in town, and the dance floor is illuminated by a futuristic light show. DJs play at ear-splitting decibels, which is just right for the young crowd.
No Stress
The name is something of an in-joke: this artisanal-cocktail bar is located in the former location of a clothing shop called Stress. It has a nostalgic and homey interior, blending furnishings from the '60s, '70s, and '80s.
