Fodor's Expert Review Brasserie NeL
$$
Eastern Canal Ring
Pet Friendly
In part of a 17th-century wooden church, NeL has a large and lovely terrace—perfect for Amsterdam's eagerly anticipated sunny days, especially at lunchtime. The reasonably priced menu circles the globe, from salads and soups to burgers and pasta. If the fresh carrot cake is available for dessert, it's a must. This is also the perfect place to drop by for a drink and Dutch snack of charcuterie or bitterballen (bite-sized croquettes) and enjoy the view.
