La Cabala
Atop the medieval Hostaria dell'Orso, La Cabala is an after-dinner club and late-night dance party whose VIP room hosts wannabe models. Depending on the evening, the vibe can be chic, hipster, or clubby. Rome's version of a supper club, La Cabala is part of the Hostaria dell'Orso trio of restaurant, disco, and piano bar. The dress code is "stylish."
La Mela
Music on the Rocks
The owners of the restaurants Chez Black and Le Terrazze run this popular bar/club (est.1972), which occasionally hosts live music. Set in a seaside cave off Spiaggia Grande, it's a grinning, cheese-fest of pop tunes, day-glo and strobe lighting, and loungy nooks frequented by giggling twenty-somethings, a few middle-age locals, and the occasional celebrity (think Lenny Kravitz, Kate Moss, and Denzel Washington). Special events aside, entrance is free.
Piccolo Mondo
Piccolo Mondo is the city's only disco, still going strong since 1963 (it was renovated in 2018).
Sharivari
Here, a labyrinth of rooms contains a bistro and champagnerie, which are stocked with delicious delicacies and sought-after vintages, and a nightclub with two dance floors featuring every genre of music—from electronic and underground, to hip-hop, lounge, and international.
Teatro Posillipo
Valentino Club
In the center of Ischia Porto, this is the focal point for a clientele in its early twenties and above. Admission varies (€16–€25), depending on what's on offer.
