Marettimo

The most remote of the Egadi Islands, Marettimo (pronounced with the emphasis on the "E") has the smallest population, the least development, and a complete absence of cars. It's a destination for lovers of seclusion and uncontaminated nature, and for those who can create their own entertainment. However, do not expect a wide choice of accommodations or dining options, especially not in the winter months when they dwindle to almost nothing.
