Fodor's Expert Review Belvedere
Lakka Rohari, Mykonos Town, Mykonos, 84600, Greece
This is the hotel for those who seek stylish surroundings and hip fellow guests, and like to see what they are paying for. Replete with Matsuhita Mykonos—an outpost of famed sushi chef Nobu—and designed in the best dreamy manner, the Belvedere has a clublike atmosphere, convenient location, and view over Mykonos Town and harbor that ensures this hotel's popularity. In the restaurants and bars, you can cut the "cool" attitude with a knife—but when you want to slip off your Toms, repair to your dramatically decorated guest room, white-on-white sanctums with sailcloth drapes and rope accents. Some have magical views, a trade-off for the small dimensions of some of the rooms. Transfers cost €50, but breakfast is included.
PROS
- Mykonos Town's most "in" hotel
- beautiful stylish and posh atmosphere
- top restaurant on premises
CONS
- you can pay plenty for a small room with no view
- off a busy back road so can be noisy
- not in easy reach to a beach
