Fodor's Expert Review Astir of Paros

Naousa, Paros, 84401, Greece

Peaceful views of Naousa Bay are part of the experience at this graceful deluxe resort hotel, where green lawns, tall palm trees, subtropical gardens, and an art gallery contribute to its superlative reputation. Guest rooms are elegant and spacious, with a vibrant mix of antiques and boldly colored modern paintings. The hotel's bars (one by the sea) are popular and its two restaurants are ambitious. As you stroll through the vast gardens—note the historic Chapel of St. Nicholas, with Byzantine-era murals, carefully rebuilt on 12th-century foundations—the bustle of Paros is very far away indeed. Since flights to Paros are hard to get, many guests arrive by helicopter.
