The Beaufort

33 Beaufort Gardens, London, SW3 1PP, England

Just a hop and a skip from Harrods—because that’s how people get around in Knightsbridge—the Beaufort has the perfect bijou vibe to match its illustrious department store neighbor’s swanky status. Located on a quiet side street, the elegant, family-owned boutique hotel is a great home from home for couples wanting to relocate to one of London’s most exclusive neighborhoods for a weekend. Aside from the luxury shopping, Michelin-starred restaurants and ritzy hotel bars, the hotel is within walking distance of the South Kensington museums and Hyde Park.

The staff offer warm, attentive service in keeping with the hotel's attention to detail. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home in the drawing room with the hotel's complimentary daily afternoon tea.

room

Elegant rooms are thoughtfully designed to maximize the comfort while staying true to the hotel’s regal style. That means large, comfortable beds, tastefully traditional décor and enough room to stash your shopping bags when you return from Harrods.

YOU SHOULD KNOW Some rooms are filled with natural light and views of the leafy street scene or garden outside, while others on lower floors feel much darker.

bathroom

Spacious contemporary marble bathrooms feature combined bath and shower and White Company bath products.

A large lounge area provides guests with a place to rest and recharge on the townhouse’s ground floor.

LOCATION

Getting Around

Black cabs linger outside Harrods from morning till night making the department store the easiest place to hail a taxi. Central London is a short drive or an equally short Tube ride via Knightsbridge Station. There’s plenty to do in the area and after exhausting the luxury boutiques guests can wander to the Museums, visit Hyde Park or make the most of the quaint Kensington backstreets.

Restaurants

If you don’t want fine dining but fancy something chic, then take a trip to Bibendum (11-minute walk) in the beautiful Michelin building on Fulham Road. For a classic Chelsea experience, visit Scalini (7-minute walk), a vibrant Italian trattoria beloved by local socialites.

Bars

Nowhere says exclusive luxury like the Mandarin Bar (9-minute walk) at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, although you’ll have to time your visit wisely because it gets busy. If you’re looking to let your hair down and embrace your inner child then go straight to Barts (13-minute walk), a speakeasy cocktail bar which encourages dressing up—it has a costume box.

WHY WE LIKE IT

For an intimate weekend retreat, the Beaufort is an excellent option thanks to a location that mixes chic shopping, fine dining and some of the city’s most significant museums. We love the personal service and the relaxed vibe perpetuated throughout the hotel.
