Predominantly English-language, big-picture films are shown in their original versions with subtitles.     Usually running annually from mid-July to mid-August, the Split Summer Festival includes a variety of open-air opera, classical music concerts, dance, and theatrical performances. One of the highlights is opera on Prokurative (Republic Square). Tickets can be purchased online or from the theater box office. Book your accommodation in advance, as hotel rates and occupancies go up during the festival.
