Fodor's Expert Review Sorobon Beach
This is the windsurfing beach on Bonaire and one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The sand is powdery white and the water gin-clear. It's shallow, allowing swimmers to walk up to the reef on a calm-breeze day. Here, the snorkeling is quite amazing. Keep in mind all sea life is protected, so no touching or removing shells or creatures. There are two windsurf shops on-site offering rentals and lessons. Rent a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and cruise the shallows looking for turtles. Two on-site restaurants offer diverse menus, including tropical drinks. The public beach area near the marina has restrooms and huts for shade. Amenities: food and drink; parking; showers; toilets; water sports. Best for: snorkeling; surfing; windsurfing.
