The Best Place to Shop in Bridgetown, Barbados

Background Illustration for Shopping

Bridgetown's Broad Street is the primary downtown shopping area. DaCosta Manning Mall, in the historic Colonnade Building on Broad Street, has more than 25 shops that sell everything from Piaget watches to postcards; across the street, Mall 34 has 22 shops where you can buy duty-free goods, souvenirs, and snacks. At the cruise-ship terminal shopping arcade, passengers can buy both duty-free goods and Barbadian-made crafts at more than 30 boutiques and a dozen vendor carts and stalls. And the airport departure lounge is a veritable shopping mall.

Brighton Farmers' Market

Every Saturday morning, hundreds of people (both expat and local) make their way to Brighton Farmers' Market to explore the great selection of food items and crafts from a wide range of Barbadian producers and artisans. This is a family-friendly event, hosted on the grounds of Brighton plantation and farm between 6 and 10 am. There is a playground and live music.
