The Best Hotel in Aruba

Background Illustration for Hotels

Hotels on the island are categorized as low-rise or high-rise and are grouped in two distinct areas along L.G. Smith and J.E. Irausquin boulevards north of Oranjestad. The low-rise properties are closer to the capital, the high-rises in a swath a little farther north. Hotel rates, with the exception of those at a few all-inclusives, generally do not include meals or even breakfast. The larger resorts are destinations unto themselves, with shopping, entertainment, and casinos.

FODOR’S EXPERT REVIEW

Set upon three acres of private property, this shiny, 30-feet travel trailer provides one of the most unique and pristine stays in nature on the island. The one queen bed and one double bed can accommodate up to four people. There is a full indoor bathroom, but you may want to try out the outdoor one, which is surrounded by bamboo walls and tropical ferns. Creature comforts abound: there is a fully-equipped indoor kitchen and an outdoor BBQ grill; locally-sourced and eco-friendly aloe bath amenities; 3 flat screen TVs with cable and streaming services; and Blue Ray Surrounded Sound. The grand wooden deck with a large saltwater pool and whirlpool is a highlight, as well as the fantastic view that spans the cacti-studded desert. The sea is within view and hiking distance. Complimentary beach accessories and laundry service are also available, and fitness equipment, board games, and grocery delivery with pre-visit stocking are other options available on request. This is glamping at its finest.  The exact address is provided after booking.
