Fiesta Resort Guam

$$ | 801 Pale San Vitores Rd., Tumon Bay, 96913, Guam

One of the giant resort complexes about midway along Tumon Bay, this one is a good value, especially if you can manage without an ocean view or balcony. View or not, the spacious rooms are all spotlessly clean and furnished in bright, modern designs. And regardless of which room you're in, the beach is right outside, as is a large swimming pool. For dining there's a beachfront barbecue restaurant. And you can sip cocktails at the poolside bar.

Pros

  • Great beachside location

Cons

  • Large and impersonal

Hilton Guam Resort

$$ | 202 Hilton Rd., Tumon Bay, 96913, Guam

Situated on the beach at the southwest end of Tumon Bay, for a top-end chain resort hotel, this one offers a remarkably good value. It occupies 32 acres of grounds filled with tropical gardens, and has its own private beach, a water park with five swimming pools, and tennis courts. On the inside there are no fewer than six restaurants and bars offering a variety of cuisines. There's also a spa and a wedding chapel. Each room is large and has a private balcony, although not all have ocean views. The standards of service, comfort, and cleanliness are just as you would expect from such an established chain.

Pros

  • Great location
  • Unbeatable on-site facilities

Cons

  • Part of a chain, so lacking in individual character
  • Some rooms in need of TLC

Tumon Bay Capital Hotel

$ | 1448 Pale San Vitores Rd., Tumon Bay, 96913, Guam

If you are prepared to sacrifice being right on the beach and willing to compromise a little on luxury, there are some good deals to be had in Tumon Bay, including this clean and simple option. Staying here does mean negotiating a main road that can get busy, but the beach is less than a five-minute walk away, and the restaurants and shops are quite near as well. There's also a small pool. Rooms are fairly basic but well-kept and have balconies with ocean views.

Pros

  • Good value
  • Convenient for shops and nightlife

Cons

  • Separated from the beach by a main road

The Westin Resort Guam

$$$ | 105 Gun Beach Rd., Tumon Bay, 96911, Guam

Toward the north end of Tumon Bay and right on the beach, this large resort tries to cater to every possible guest need, from watersports to transfers to nearby golf courses. Just a short walk from shopping and dining options, the Westin also has plenty of amenities on-site: two outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, and seven restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. Each guest room has a private balcony, although those at the back look over the city rather than the sea. Even the smallest rooms cover 400 square feet, and are filled with the usual Westin luxuries, including the brand's much-appreciated pillow menu.

Pros

  • Luxurious
